LB have automatically made these changes for Domains that are using the platform DNS and are pointing to our name servers. However, if your Domains’ DNS are managed on another platform, you will need to manually update its name servers and DNS to point to the new IP addresses mentioned above.
We urge you to review the list of changed IPs above, and if you have pointed your URLs to the older IPs, we recommend changing them at the earliest. We also request you to send out the same details to your resellers so they can make the necessary changes if needed.
You will have time till the 24th of December, 2012 to make these changes, thus we strongly recommend that you go ahead with making these changes to avoid any issues or down times post this date.
LogicBoxes in the last hour have had a platform failure suspending all reseller account under many registrars, this is also including their own brands.
We are speaking with LB on the phone to get this resolved, I will update this blog post as soon as I have further information.
If your account shows as suspended, DO NOT request a password reset as this will achieve nothing and will then make matters worse going forward (resetting of passwords etc).
LogicBoxes have now updated their own forums :
The topic can be found here: http://forums.myorderbox.com/index.php?showtopic=4367
01:17GMT :
LogicBoxes are running a series of DB updates to revert incorrect changes.
Resellers should already be able to login, subresellers shortly and lastly customers.
03:30 GMT
The platform has update that created this issue has been fixed, all reseller accounts are as they were before this issue, same for customer accounts.
We will update further when more information is available from LogicBoxes.
We have had notice that this has been extended by a further 2 hours.
The new scheduled finish is 1030 UTC / GMT.
This is just a reminder that the platform will be down tomorrow for 4 hours. This will be all services (domains will not be affected).
Please take a read of the previous blog entry : http://80.251.17.48/~netearthgr/blog/2012/10/logicboxes-platform-scheduled-downtime-november-24th-2012/
This post contains important information about a system-wide downtime that is scheduled for the 24th of November, 2012 at 04:30 UTC.
OrderBox, the system that automates your billing, provisioning and reporting modules will be shifted to TexasOne DataCenter in Austin,TX on the 24th of November, 2012. This is the same DataCenter that powers all LB’s hosting products and packages.
| Date | November 24th, 2012 |
| Start Time | 04:30 UTC |
| Maintenance Window | 4 Hours |
| Reason | Knowledgebase, Old SuperSite, SuperSite2, Control Panel, API(Soap & HTTP), Whois, DNS Management All Domains and Hosting packages will continue to resolve. However, you will not be able to manage them through the Control Panel. |
Once the migration has been completed, the IP addresses associated with the SuperSite and some of LB’s products and services will change.
LB will automatically make these changes for Domains that are managed through the Control Panel (FreeDNS). However, if your Domains’ DNS are managed on another platform, you will need to manually update its Nameservers and DNS once the migration has been completed. You will have time till the 4th of December, 2012 to make these changes.
You will find the new IP Addresses in the Knowledgebase once the migration has been completed.
Once the migration has been completed, LB will be starting a new process for managing Unused Domain Contacts in the system. Contacts that have not been used for more than six months will be archived.
If you need to search for these contacts, you will need to view them in your ‘Archived Contacts’. Your Domains’ ‘Default Contact’ will not be affected and will not be archived.
We recommend that you share this information with your Customers and Sub-Resellers so that they are made aware of these changes we are making.
