.NET price increase 1st July 2013

Verisign GRS  are increasing the pricing of the .NET tld on 1st July 2013, we will be changing the pricing on the platform to note this increase at 12:00 UTC 30th June 2013.

The pricing will increase by the exact amount that Verisign GRS are putting it up by across all tiers, namely 51 cents ( $0.51 ).

Update to TLD pricing and *NEW* TLDs being added to NetEarth One.

Dear Resellers,

We are adding 6 new TLD’s that the platform supports, and amending 3 existing TLD’s decreasing 2 EU/UK and increasing the renewal of ES.

These changes will take effect on March 27th 2013 at 13:00 GMT/UTC

Some of the registries have sent notices of Pricing increases, we will send out an email next week listing them and the increase in pricing *not increasing for a few months as yet so no need to panic* – we as yet have never seen a registry decrease pricing we are sorry to say 🙁

Updating of domain Pricing :

.EU Restore Pricing has decreased :

Further to discussions with LogicBoxes, we have been able to get the EU restore pricing brought down from >$60 to $11.99, a saving of over $50.00!

.ES Renewal Pricing increase :

.ES renewal pricing will be increased by 20 cents (0.20) on all tiers because we have been selling it at cost, rather than actually making any profit from it.

.UK Renewal / Registration decrease :

.UK pricing will decrease across all tiers by 5 cents (0.05), and we’re closely monitoring the fluctuation of $ to £.

Those of you that are set for automatic signup will simply be signed up, those that are not you need to go to Settings >> Manage Products and Pricing >> Domain Registrations >> Select the TLDs you want to sell >> and mark the ones you want as “Sell”. You will need to agree to the terms and conditions at the bottom and then click Submit.

If using Supersite/Supersite 2 :

Wait an hour or two from signup email coming through, then, Settings >> Manage Products and Pricing >> Domain Registrations >> Set the Price for the TLDs you want to Sell and click Manage pricing next to the TLD, then simply set your pricing.

If using your OWN billing or automation application :

If you use an external billing application like AWBS, WHMCS, Blesta, ClientExec etc, you would simply set the pricing in the billing app you use.

LogicBoxes SuperSite 1 – To Be Depreciated Soon

It has been more than six months since LB launched SuperSite 2, a Free Web 2.0 Storefront for you to sell all LB products. Effective, March 31st 2013, LB will be discontinuing product support and feature releases for their old Storefront, SuperSite 1. If you have not yet moved your business to SuperSite 2, we request you to kindly do so as quickly as possible before the above date un case of any issues 🙂

LB will be deprecating all SuperSite 1 services on the 30th of April, 2013.

LogicBoxes New API Key feature

New Unique API Key – Effective 11th February, 2013

 

In order to secure the way your business connects to the platform via the API, LB have finally  introduced a new unique API ‘key’ that will be used to authenticate your API calls.

Currently, the authentication process requires you to use your username and password to connect to the API. Although this process is encrypted, LB have removed all vulnerabilities by introducing a unique API key to connect to our system. You can find your unique API ‘key’ inside your Control Panel at the below mentioned path (from 11th February).

Control Panel > Settings > API

Effective 11th February, 2013 you will be able to get the API key and make calls to the platform using the new API ‘key’.

Kindly ensure that you integrate the new API ‘key’ to your existing API setup to ensure that your API calls continue to work seamlessly. You can find more information about the new call in our knowledgebase.

Important IP Changes | Post OrderBox Migration

Important IP Changes – Post OrderBox Migration

LB are happy to announce the successful migration of OrderBox to the TexasOne DataCenter in Austin,TX that happened on the 24th of November, 2012. As part of this migration, they’d like to highlight a couple of important changes that need to be made.

Post the migration, the IP addresses associated with a few of their services have changed. Below is a list of the IP addresses that have changed:

LB have automatically made these changes for Domains that are using the platform DNS and are pointing to our name servers. However, if your Domains’ DNS are managed on another platform, you will need to manually update its name servers and DNS to point to the new IP addresses mentioned above.

We urge you to review the list of changed IPs above, and if you have pointed your URLs to the older IPs, we recommend changing them at the earliest. We also request you to send out the same details to your resellers so they can make the necessary changes if needed.

You will have time till the 24th of December, 2012 to make these changes, thus we strongly recommend that you go ahead with making these changes to avoid any issues or down times post this date.

LogicBoxes platform failure

LogicBoxes in the last hour have had a platform failure suspending all reseller account under many registrars, this is also including their own brands.

We are speaking with LB on the phone to get this resolved, I will update this blog post as soon as I have further information.

If your account shows as suspended, DO NOT request a password reset as this will achieve nothing and will then make matters worse going forward (resetting of passwords etc).

LogicBoxes are running a series of DB updates to revert incorrect changes.

Resellers should already be able to login, subresellers shortly and lastly customers.

03:30 GMT

The platform has update that created this issue has been fixed, all reseller accounts are as they were before this issue, same for customer accounts.

 

We will update further when more information is available from LogicBoxes.

LogicBoxes moving .UK to EPP

LB will be migrating to the new EPP version on the 26th June, In order to handle this migration process there will be a downtime. Details for the same are mentioned below.

Maintenance Details

Date: Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Time: 08:30 AM – 11:30 AM GMT/UTC
Duration: 3 Hours

During the migration period, customers will not be able to Register, Renew, Transfer or Manage their .UK domain names.  As we are moving to the new EPP version, the following API changes are happening :

This API Call (HTTP & SOAP) will be removed – http://manage.netearthone.com/kb/answer/784
This API Call is to be used in its place – http://manage.netearthone.com/kb/answer/758

 

The new transfer process is much simpler, you the reseller through your billing app or the Supersite / SuperSite 2 will notify us first that the domain is coming to us, and, notify us of the customer account the domain will belong too.  Then, once your customer has changed the TAG to NETEARTHONE, we will complete the process to your customers account.

The security key feature will be removed from the SS and SS2 and the activateTransferredDomain api call will stop working.

Upgrade of Kayako live chat/ticket software.

This coming Monday 14th November starting at 1200GMT through 1600GMT we will be performing an upgrade to the Kayako suite we use.  We expect the total time to be less than this time, but allowing for the full 4 hours just in case.

This we are told should rectify a problem we reported to Kayako about live chat responses not being shown / sent to the person on live chat.

In this time, all ticket emails will be placed on hold, we will complete this at the MTA level, you will not be able to talk to live chat either in this time.  Once we have completed the upgrade, held ticket emails will be sent to the support suite and therefore tickets will be created.
