MySQL Upgrade to 5.0.84 – Linux Hosting servers

Dear Reseller,

This is to inform you that LB will be upgrading the MySQL versions on their Linux Hosting servers to 5.0.84 as per the schedule mentioned below :

Date/Time : 13th Dec, 2009 – 1200 Hrs IST | 0630 Hrs GMT
Estimated Duration : 2 Hrs

Date/Time : 13th Dec, 2009 – 1430 Hrs IST | 0900 Hrs GMT
Estimated Duration : 2 Hrs

During the upgrade :

– You will not be able to connect to the databases hosted on these servers.
– Manage Web Hosting console will be inaccessible.
– Control Panel modifications / actions will not reflect.
– FTP service will be unavailable.

All services will be restored to normal once the upgrade is complete. Feel free to contact our Support Team in case you require any additional information.

UPDATE: LogicBoxes platform appears to be up and running now.

MYSQL upgrade on Linux hosting servers

MYSQL upgrade on Linux hosting servers

Two of LB’s Linux hosting servers are planned to undergo a short downtime, to upgrade the MYSQL versions on each. Both the servers will be upgraded to MYSQL – 5.0.84. Soon, we shall have the same updated on the other Linux hosting servers too.

Schedule :

Nov 23, 2009 – 0400 Hrs IST | Nov 22, 2009 – 2230 Hrs GMT.
 

Expected downtime: 2 Hrs

During the maintenance:

1) Sites hosted on these servers will not resolve.
2) Manage web hosting console will be inaccessible.
3) Control Panel modifications / actions will not reflect.
4) FTP service will be unavailable.

All services will be restored to normal, as soon as the maintenance is completed.  Feel free to contact our support desk, in case you require any additional information.

LogicBoxes Introducing Security ID + DLL manager – Supersite changes

Dear Resellers,,

Security is of prime importance in running a Reseller business. LogicBoxes acknowledge this fact and their efforts to ensure a secure environment for you, they will be introducing a Security ID – Personal Identification Number (PIN) on the 19th of November, 2009. PIN is a four digit secret number that would be used to verify your identity during your communication with NetEarth One Support.

They are also extending this security feature to our resellers and customers, and you can choose to implement a similar procedure for supporting your clients.

Details:

  • Existing Resellers can locate their PINs in their Control Panel from Settings >> Primary Profile.
  • The PIN can be edited from: Settings >> Change Personal Identification Number (PIN.)
  • As a Reseller, you can view your Reseller’s/Customer’s PIN in their respective Profile pages/Details view. However, you will not be able to modify it.
  • A default PIN will be emailed to your new Resellers/Customers on sign-up

 Discontinuation of DLL Manager – SuperSite Changes

The DLL Manager has been deprecated from the Windows Hosting product. If you or your Resellers have customized the SuperSite Web Hosting page, please ensure that you make modifications to the relevant page from your SuperSite Admin Area by following the path below:

NetEarth One, .UK Pricing update

Good afternoon,

Now we are seeing the dollar and pound conversions starting to move again, our .UK pricing must increase, the prices below are PER YEAR and a MINIMUM / MAXIMUM of 2 years are charged:

Tier 1      $5.19

Tier 2      $5.09

Tier 3      $4.99

Tier 4      $4.95

Tier 5      $4.85

The above prices will be for NEW / RENEW, please remember the above pricing is per year and you can only order 2 years in total (not just one). These prices will be applied at 12:00 GMT on Tuesday 10th November 2009

If you use a billing platform, like AWBS or WHMCS, please make sure you update the pricing.

I apologise for this increase, this is NOT a registry increase but a fluctuation in currency rates, we have held this off for as long as possible but for those of you who benefitted from the drop last year the currencies are getting stronger.

Unscheduled LB platform downtime complete

The LB platform appears to be working again.

UNESCHEDULED LogicBoxes Platform downtime

LogicBoxes have yet to inform us that the platform is down.

We have seen a lag in the service around 4 hours ago, however 30 minutes ago the whole platform “went offline”,

LB is already talking with The Planet whim they are so far blaming for this outage.

We will keep you updated.

Scheduled maintenance – Email hosting service

Dear Reseller,

This is to inform you that one of LB’s mail hosting servers is scheduled for a downtime this weekend. During this downtime, LB will  be upgrading the server hardware for better performance.

We would like to assure you there will be no loss of emails; all new incoming mails will be queued up for delivery and will be available in the Inbox as soon as the server is up and operational.

Maintenance Window:

Date: Sunday, Nov 1, 2009.
Time: 0900 Hrs IST | 0330 GMT
Duration: 2 Hrs.

Packages served on the below mentioned IP addresses shall be affected:

70.87.29.2
70.87.29.132
70.87.29.134
70.87.29.14

Impact:

– Manage email hosting console will be inaccessible.

– Modification actions on affected orders will fail.

– Webmail & send / receive through mail clients will be unavailable.

.ORG internal price increase (NOT a registry increase)

It has come to our attention that the .ORG TLD has been priced under our cost price, effective Monday 12th October 2009, the new pricing for the Tiers will be the following :

Tier 1    $8.45

Tier 2    $8.25

Tier 3    $8.15

Tier 4    $8.05

Tier 5    $7.95

The above prices will be for NEW / RENEW and TRANSFER, the Restore charge will also increase from $45.00 to $65.00.

If you use a billing platform, like AWBS or WHMCS, please make sure you update the pricing.

I apologise for this increase, as mentioned above it is NOT a registry (PIR.org) increase, but an increase to bring the domain over our cost price from the platform provider.
