LogicBoxes downtime notice – 19th December 2010, 0730 UTC

LB will require a brief downtime in order to upgrade firmware on the load balancers for OrderBox. The downtime window details are as follows –

Date: Sunday, December 19, 2010
Start Time: 07:30 Hrs GMT/ 02:30 Hrs EST
Estimated Downtime: 30 Mins
Affected Interfaces: API, Control Panel, SuperSite & PartnerSite

This outage shall have no impact on your domain names and other services, which will continue to work seamlessly. While we expect the downtime to be much shorter we have scheduled it for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Emergency notice – Network issues at datacenter

GMT 8:10 AM: LB are currently experiencing some network trouble at their  datacenter in the US.

LB are currently facing issues with the network at our data center due to which :

  • All the websites hosted on Cpanel & Plesk servers will not resolve.
  • Mail services including Webmail/IMAP/POP/SMTP will be down.
  • Mail packages won’t be able to send/receive mails.

LB are working closely with the datacenter technicians to have this resolved at the earliest.

We will update this post once we know more from LB.

LogicBoxes: Downtime on 7th December 2010

Dear Reseller,

LB have setup new routers at one of their data centers to improve network utilization and to handle an increased amount of traffic. They want to move the existing traffic to these routers and for this they would need a downtime of approximately an hour. They expect the downtime experienced to be less than 45 minutes, however they have kept the additional buffer to ensure that the changes are thoroughly tested. Services will be available intermittently during the downtime.

During this downtime, you will not be able access or manage your emails and you will not be able to resolve or manage websites which are on their Plesk and cPanel hosting servers. The downtime is scheduled as mentioned below –

Time : 1400GMT

We regret the interruption in services and any inconvenience caused because of it.

LogicBoxes platform failure

At approximately 1915 teh platform became very slow, and as of around 10 minutes ago, the platform has been placed under emergency mainteannce.

.CA Launch: .CA Rules & Regulations

As we announced earlier, .CA will be launched on the 26th of October, 2010. We will be offering .CA starting at $12.99 for Resellers.

Registration Policies and Procedures:

While the .CA Domain is open to all Resellers, Registrants will have to fall within the Canadian Presence Requirements in order to be eligible to Register.

In just a week, LB will be rolling out  .CA, starting from the 26th of October, 2010.

Why .CA?

With 3 out of 4 Canadians being active internet users, .CA Domains have a huge potential market and are the undisputed choice for individuals and businesses having a Canadian connection.

The Registration, Renewal, Transfer-Ins and Restoration Cost for resellers of .CA  will be $12.99 only!

While .CA Domains are open to everyone, there are certain rules and regulations that differ from other TLDs. Therefore, we suggest you go through the detailed document on the .CA Registration and Renewal procedures that we will include in our KnowledgeBase shortly. We will also publish on our blog the information to you before the launch.

Sign-Up for .CA:

Resellers that have enabled the Automatic Signup for New Products option will instantly be able to resell .CA Domains as soon as it launches.

In case you have disabled the above option, you will have to manually sign up to sell .CA Domains. You can do this from your Control Panel by going to the Manage Products and Pricing section and clicking on the Select the TLDs you want to sell option.

SuperSite Impact:

With the launch of .CA there will be a few modifications to the SuperSite. These are detailed as follows:

Sorry for the lateness on this update but starting the 7th of October 2010, LB have introduced the ability to customize the number of Free Email Accounts with every Domain Name.

While this is offered to you completely free of cost at the moment, LB are looking at making this email offering ad-supported in the future. They will provide more information on this shortly.

 PartnerSite changes for Web Services: 
As part of the Web Services launch, they have made certain modifications to the following pages on the PartnerSite:

  • Pricing
  • Web Hosting
  • Email Hosting
  • Site Builder
  • Features

The modifications on these pages will not reflect on your PartnerSite till you manually update these pages through your PartnerSite Admin Area. Please make these changes to include Custom Plans and the new Website Builder on your PartnerSite.

Yahoo Search Marketing:
Due to Yahoo!’s transition to Microsoft’s search technology, the Free $50 Yahoo! Search Marketing ad credit will no longer be available.

This program will be replaced in the near future by a similar program from Microsoft. Customers who have previously availed of the credits and set up an advertising account at Yahoo! can continue managing their accounts as before.

Staff training and Support in November 2010

Dear Resellers,

We will be undergoing staff training starting 4th November 2010, through 15th November 2010, this will have an impact of our Live chat service, and support service that we offer.  Tickets received will be replied to in the order they were received.

Please understand that if the “Live Chat” icon states online, we are logged on and available, if it is “Offline” then you will be directed to create a ticket as normal.

Live Support Times change becuase of BST ending

Dear Resellers,

On Sunday 31st October 2010, NetEarth Group support, which includes NetEarth One and SSL Reseller, will be changing its live support times to GMT/UTC.

This means that support will be within the following times :

Monday through Friday                 0800 to 0000 GMT/UTC

Saturday                                              0800 to 2300 GMT/UTC

Sunday                                                 1000 to 2200 GMT/UTC

Please note that the Saturday night timing has changed by 1 (one) hour.
