<p>Logicboxes are merging the Web Hosting and Email Hosting Products on their platform on the <strong>24th of July, 2010</strong>. This mail contains some important updates regarding the changes on the 24th.</p>
<p><strong>Downtime Notice</strong></p>
<p><strong>Date:</strong> 24th July, 2010</p>
<p><strong>Time:</strong><br />
08:30 &#8211; 15:30 UTC<br />
14:00 &#8211; 21:00 IST<br />
04:30 &#8211; 11:30 EDT</p>
<p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 hours downtime + 1 hour for pricing updates and setup at your end</p>
<p><strong>Affected Systems:</strong> All Web and Email Hosting orders will continue to function as is. Customers will be able to manage their packages. However, you will not be able to Add/Renew/Suspend Web &amp; Email Hosting orders or make any price changes during the downtime.</p>
<p><strong>Last Hour of the Downtime:</strong> &gt;From <strong>14:30 to 15:30 UTC</strong>, you will not be able to add any new Web and Email Hosting orders however, renewals and suspensions will go through. This hour is for you to be able to set your prices for both Customers and Resellers before orders can be placed post the downtime.</p>
<p><strong>Impact:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Product Sign Up</strong></p>
<p><strong>IMP:</strong> Web and Email Hosting will now have a common sign up option. There will be 3 types of packages that you can opt in for &#8211; Linux Hosting + Email Hosting, Windows Hosting + Email Hosting and Only Email Hosting. However, regardless of the plans you choose to sell to your Customers, your Resellers will have all three options available to them.</p>
<ul>
<li>Separate orders for Web and Email Hosting for the same Domain Name</li>
<li><strong>Imp:</strong> Customer and Reseller Hosting Slabs</li>
<li><strong>Imp:</strong> Telescopic Pricing for Web and Email Hosting</li>
<li>India Hosting</li>
</ul>
<p>API information :</p>
<p>This modification <span style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">first phase of launching flexible Hosting plans. Additionally, this change will further simplify the purchase decision for Customers and take us one step closer towards giving you the ability to create custom hosting plans for your customers</span>.</p>
<p><strong>What are flexible Hosting plans?</strong></p>
<p>Based on the feedback we received through <span style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">our partners, we are looking at giving you the freedom to create your own Hosting plans from the Unlimited Hosting Package that we provide you with</span>.</p>
<ul>
<li>We will continue to provide you with a simple Unlimited Package at the backend</li>
<li>However what customers see will be the plans that YOU create!
<ul>
<li>You will soon have the ability to configure pre-defined plans that your customers will see on your website (SuperSite)</li>
<li>You will be able modify and restrict parameters like Disk Space, Bandwidth, Email Accounts etc for each plan</li>
</ul>

<p>What makes this offering brilliant is that it gives you all the freedom and advantages of a Bulk Hosting Package without the risks and hassles of having to manage and purchase inventory. <span style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">We will soon announce details on the launch of the flexible plans.</span></p>
<p><strong>Impact on the API:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Important:</strong> We will be deprecating the SOAP API and modifying the HTTP API for Web and Email Hosting on the <strong>24th of July, 2010</strong>. The new methods are not backward compatible and you will need to make the necessary modifications to ensure that you are not negatively affected by this change.</p>

<ul>
<li>All SOAP based Web and Email Hosting API methods will be deprecated</li>

<li>There will be three unique plan ids for every Reseller for the following package types:

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Please Note:</span> Your SuperSite will continue to function normally without these changes. However, if you would like Multi Year Pricing to be displayed on your SuperSite, you will need to update the above the mentioned files.</p>
<p><strong>Deprecation of Customer Slabs</strong><br />
As we had announced earlier, Customers Slabs will be deprecated and will be replaced with the ability to set Multi Year Pricing. The Customer Slabs that you have created will be removed on the 29th and only the Base Slab will be left intact. Post the launch you will be able to set prices for Customers based on the tenure that the Product is purchased for.</p>
