Emergency downtime scheduled by DC on the July 28th 2011

Based on an emergency maintenance required by our Datacenter, a brief downtime may be experienced on the 28th of July 2011.  Please find the details of the same below:

Reason:

The Network Engineers at our DC have identified a faulty supervisor module in the router. After consulting with the vendor, they have determined that the standby supervisor needs to be replaced in order to prevent any unexpected service disruptions.

Maintenance Notice

Maintenance has thus been scheduled for some of our servers as these hardware upgrades need to be made.

Maintenance Window:
Date: Thursday July 28, 2011
Duration: 4 hours
Start Time: 05:00:00 GMT

Affected Services:

  • Mail      architecture
  • Old      Windows hosting
  • Old      Linux hosting
  • OrderBox
  • Live      Chat
  • Support      Helpdesk
  • DNS      Service

While these are hot pluggable modules, a reload of the active supervisor  maybe required for it to properly recognize the new standby module. If at all the reboot is required, a service disruption of no more than 20  minutes can be expected.

While the engineers at our Datacenter will work to minimize the impact, customers may experience downtime on the above mentioned services.

LogicBoxes platform issue

Page not found issues on the management interface.

We have spoken to LB and they are arranging for devs to investigate immediately.

We will keep this post updated.

Platform control panel is back, we are testing the API now.

 

Further information from LogicBoxes :

There was an issue with the Database query, which has been fixed and the
login issues for the control panels are working fine.

LogicBoxes DNS DDoS attack

Currently at 1705 GMT on 8th June 2011, Lb are experiencing a DDoS attack.
We will update this blog with more information as soon as we get it.

Update: 1718 GMT

We are seeing that some domains are now resolving, mostly control panel logins.

LB DNS servers under DDoS attack

Last Saturday, and yesterday the platforms DNS servers were under a sistaomed attack.
This looks to be mittigated, we will keep this thread updated.

LogicBoxes downtime notice – 19th December 2010, 0730 UTC

LB will require a brief downtime in order to upgrade firmware on the load balancers for OrderBox. The downtime window details are as follows -

Date: Sunday, December 19, 2010
Start Time: 07:30 Hrs GMT/ 02:30 Hrs EST
Estimated Downtime: 30 Mins
Affected Interfaces: API, Control Panel, SuperSite & PartnerSite

This outage shall have no impact on your domain names and other services, which will continue to work seamlessly. While we expect the downtime to be much shorter we have scheduled it for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Emergency notice – Network issues at datacenter

GMT 8:10 AM: LB are currently experiencing some network trouble at their  datacenter in the US.

LB are currently facing issues with the network at our data center due to which :

  • All the websites hosted on Cpanel & Plesk servers will not resolve.
  • Mail services including Webmail/IMAP/POP/SMTP will be down.
  • Mail packages won’t be able to send/receive mails.

LB are working closely with the datacenter technicians to have this resolved at the earliest.

We will update this post once we know more from LB.

LogicBoxes: Downtime on 7th December 2010

Dear Reseller,

LB have setup new routers at one of their data centers to improve network utilization and to handle an increased amount of traffic. They want to move the existing traffic to these routers and for this they would need a downtime of approximately an hour. They expect the downtime experienced to be less than 45 minutes, however they have kept the additional buffer to ensure that the changes are thoroughly tested. Services will be available intermittently during the downtime.

During this downtime, you will not be able access or manage your emails and you will not be able to resolve or manage websites which are on their Plesk and cPanel hosting servers. The downtime is scheduled as mentioned below -

Date : 7th December, 2010

Time : 1400GMT

We regret the interruption in services and any inconvenience caused because of it.

LogicBoxes platform failure

At approximately 1915 teh platform became very slow, and as of around 10 minutes ago, the platform has been placed under emergency mainteannce.

We will update this blog when we have further info.

LogicBoxes : Cooling Failure at our Data Center

Because of a cooling failure at one of their Data Centers, they’ve had to shut down the mail servers on their new infrastructure and cPanel servers. They had to take this step to ensure the servers do not overheat and your data remains unaffected. As yet they do not have any ETA to fix, but the technicians at their Data Center are working on this and they expect the issue to be fixed soon.

You will not be able to send/receive emails, your websites hosted on our cPanel servers and the cPanel control panel will not resolve.

UpdateWe expect the issue to be fixed by 21:45 GMT.

Update #2cPanel hosting servers will be up by 21:00 GMT.

Update #3cPanel hosting servers are up. Also, all email servers except for one are up.

SuperSite error after LB upgrade

We have been notified of some errors today, Logicboxes are working on it as a matter of urgency.

Errors that are already known about :

a) Supersite : ProductKeyHash Seems to be empty! I Can not continue and I Should Not

b) Control panel searching : [r1] Error Message: Product key for category sitebuilder cannot be null. ]
